No Rooney tonight.

United kick off their Europa League campaign away at Feyenoord later this evening in a match that could see Jose Mourinho giving some of the fringe members of his squad a chance  of first team action.

Wayne Rooney, Jesse Lingard, Antonio Valencia, Luke Shaw, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Phil Jones have all been left out of the squad as Mourinho looks to rest some of the players who’ve been either ever-present this season, picked up a knock – or struggled with the pace of the Manchester derby.

The Europa isn’t a priority for many fans nor it would seem the United boss- speaking ahead of the game, Mourinho noted:

“This is not a competition Manchester United wants, what I want, what the players want, but it is a competition where we are, and that is the reality, so we have to look at the comp with respect.”

With a few changes expected from Mourinho- here’s how the Reds could line up:

[4-3-3] David De Gea, Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
