Henrikh will be sorely missed tonight

What a difference three points can make as United head into tonight’s game at Selhurst Park full of confidence, belief and optimism following the recent win over Spurs. The Reds have been playing well for weeks, the problem has been putting chances away and seeing games out, something that was rectified on Sunday against the North Londoners.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s winner signaled a superb week for the Armenian as his performance against Zorya Luhansk already had the fans crowing, the display against Tottenham was simply the icing on the cake  which is why an injury picked up by a cynical Danny Rose challenge is particularly grating.

With Mkhitaryan ruled out for the game against Palace, Jose Mourinho is forced to shuffle his pack slightly, the main questions being who will replace the former Borussia Dortmund man and should the manager stick  with Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo at centre back, after all both were superb on Sunday.

Despite being a huge Eric Bailly fan, I think Jose should and will keep faith with Jones and Rojo at centre back as they don’t deserve to be dropped, I also think we may see Luke Shaw come in at left back as Matteo Darmian has struggled in the role and Daley Blind hardly shone in the position against Chelsea either. Darmian could be moved over to right back to replace the suspended Antonio Valencia.

Here’s how the Reds may line up tonight.

[4-3-3] David De Gea, Matteo Darmian, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Juan Mata, Zlatan Ibrahimovic,
