Arguably the most bizarre story of the week is news of Rio Ferdinand’s stalker, who defended herself in court against the United star, then did a runner before being caught in Warrington.
The fact that Susan Ibru, who met the defender’s mother in church before travelling from London to visit Ferdinand’s home for no reason whatsoever, only managed to make it to Warrington from Macclesfield court says it all really.
Ibru was found guilty of harassment.
Things got worse for Ibru as The Manchester Evening News reported:
A woman who went on the run after stalking footballer Rio Ferdinand has been charged with assaulting a police officer.
Suzanne Ibru was caught by cops in Warrington, Cheshire, after fleeing her trial in Macclesfield.
She allegedly attacked an officer during her arrest.
With Ferdinand’s wife having given birth to a baby girl named Tia over the weekend, I’m sure the former England skipper is happy to put the whole episode behind him.
