Sir Alex Ferguson seemed in a somewhat joival mood on Tuesday evening in his press conference ahead of tonight’s game with nine time Champions of Europe Real Madrid.

The United boss was full of praise for Chicharito claiming the little Pea will score 20 goals this season, he was also gave credit to Jose Mourinho who he famously enjoys a friendly relationship with.

On taking a question from The Mirror’s David McDonnell Sir Alex quipped “I recognised that voice, like a poison creeping over my body.”

It’s always refreshing to see the United manager looking laid back and fairly content ahead of a big game, as despite the obvious problem of taming Cristiano Ronaldo, the Reds boss may be forgiven for feeling somewhat bullish given the players he has to choose from.

With a healthy gap in the league and minimal injury worries, Sir Alex will no doubt feel this is as strong a position as any to face Mourinho’s side.

Counterpart Mourinho didnt seem quite as happy as the United boss but given the turbulent time he’s enduring at Madrid of late, that’s hardly surprising.
