As some of you may have noticed some bloke from Swinton who used to play for Wales has almost reached the ridiculous amount of 1000 career games. Ryan Giggs has been dazzling fans and ‘tearing teams apart [again]’ for the past 22 years and despite what some of us once claimed- I hold my hands up and admit to being one of them- the legendary winger doesn’t look like being anywhere near retirement.

I’ve been one of the lucky ones who’s time following United practically coincided with Giggs’s entire career- I was eleven when he made his debut- and to say he’s been successful is akin to saying Sir Alex has won a few things.

The word legend is thrown about too casually nowadays but when it comes to a man who’s won 12 titles, two champions leagues, four FA Cups, Four League Cups, A Super Cup, Intercontinental Cup, World Club Cup and enough Charity Shields to protect an army, it simply doesnt do him justice.
