De Gea – Couldn’t have had any less to do today. 5

Smalling – Solid at the back but failed to push up enough with our attack considering the amount of possession we had. 6

Evans – Marvellous, composed and classy. Our second goal started solely from his calmness at the back. 8

Vidic – Commanding as usual as he carried his defence to their fourth consecutive clean sheet in the league. 7

Evra – Pushed up and helped stretch the game down the left-hand side. Gave the Norwich defence something to think about. 7

Valencia – Got himself into good positions all game and put in a couple of quality crosses. He even used his left foot! 8

Carrick – An artist who played at will in the centre of the game and controlled the tempo to his liking all game. 8

Kagawa – Three chances, three goals. Give him time to settle and some people will feel silly for ever doubting him. 9

Anderson – Sloppy at times but covered a good amount of distance and tracked back when required. 6

Rooney – Started poorly but grew into the game and showed moments of true brilliance and finesse. Scored a contender for goal of the month. 8

Van Persie – A quiet game by his own high standards but came off early without picking up a knock in time for Tuesday. 6

Subs:

Welbeck – His movement and off-the-ball movement played a big part in killing off the game. 7

Cleverley – N/A
