New Barca Boss Could Hold The Key To Cesc Deal

Martino has joined Barcelona as the new manager after previous boss Tito Vilanova stepped down due to his battle against cancer. Martino, an Argentine who has managed both the Paraguay national side and his native Newell’s Old Boys has signed a three-year deal.

Earlier reports indicated that the Catalan giants were reluctant to sell Fabregas before a new manager had been appointed as unlike the Thiago Alcantara deal there was no get-out clause for the former Arsenal skipper. Martino may have to convince Fabregas that with the likes of Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Messi and new marquee signing Neymar there is still a place for him in the Barcelona side.
