According to reports Pini Zahavi, was seen sitting with United player’s during the side’s nil nil draw with Newcastle at Old Trafford which has seemingly fueled speculation the Brazilian striker is somehow on his way to M16.
Stories of United’s interest in the Barcelona superstar first surfaced on Friday evening, although there has been no confirmation of any bids or inquiries from the club. Most fans have dismissed the rumours as pure speculation and even Neymar’s other agent has rubbished reports his client could be heading to Old Trafford.
Sky Sports notes: “There is nothing. He has three years left on his contract,” Ribeiro toldGloboEsporte.
“The British newspapers are very speculative. Barcelona have never thought of selling Neymar and he is very happy there.”
Neymar joined Barcelona from Santos in 2013 and has established himself as a key player for the Catalans.
Neymar would naturally be a great addition to a United side struggling for goals, but the chances of him joining seem slim at best- although non-existent is arguably nearer the truth. Until the transfer window closes though, or he signs a new deal at Barcelona, we’re just going to have to put up with more speculation- especially when his agent visits our club.
