United are preparing a bid for Chelsea full back Cesar Azpilicueta as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster the Reds’ defence according to the latest reports.
Mourinho faces opposition for the Spaniard’s signature from two other clubs and may have to convince his former player that his future lies at United despite a lack of Champions League football next season.

Cesar Azpilicueta is wanted by former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho for a summer move to Manchester United – but both Paris Saint-Germain and Athletic Bilbao are also keen on the Spaniard.
United have been linked with several players this summer with some rumours seeoing more plausible than others, it makes sense that Mourinho would look to bring in one of his former players, especially one who may not fit into Antonio Conte’s plans. Mourinho has been handed a huge transfer budget and with Azpilicueta rated around £14 million there’s little doubt United could afford to pursue him.
