Jose Mourinho should have been basking in the glory of his first win as United boss this weekend, but instead the Special One spent most of Sunday night dealing with the aftermath of a burglary attempt at his London home.
A maid spotted the intruder at Mourinho’s home before raising the alarm which led to the would-be burglars arrest.
The Sun notes:
A team of eight police officers dashed to the central London house and led the intruder away in handcuffs as Manchester United manager Mourinho and wife Matilde Faria watched from a window.
It’s not the first time someone associated with United has been the victim of an attempted burglary, it’s happened to many players including Angel Di Maria who many believed was irrevocably damaged by the experience to the point where he no longer felt comfortable in Manchester. That’s obviously not going to happen with Mourinho, but all United fans will be hoping the incident doesn’t upset the new manager too badly.
