SOn target for the reserves yet again

United’s reserves came from 2-1 down to grab a well earned draw against Liverpool on Thursday night.

Despite the likes of Joe Cole, David Ngog and Christian Poulsen turning out for Liverpool, United would not be beaten.

Nick Ajose gave United the lead before goals from Jonjo Shelvey and a deflected Joe Cole shot put Liverpool in front.

Gabriel Obertan followed up Oliver Norwood’s free kick which hit the post, to give United a share of the spoils.

United line up: Amos, Varmijl, Brady, Norwood, Wootton, Gill, Ajose (Morrison, 60), Petrucci, King (Ekangamene, 80), James, Obertan.

Liverpool line up: Chamberlain, Mendy, Irwin, Wilson, Wisdom, Poulsen, Shelvey, Ince, Suso, Cole, Ngog (Saric 45).

It was a pretty meaningless game and it was played out like one.I thought Gabriel Obertan looked the most capable of United’s players along with Norwood.
I must admit, I was confused(nothing new) seeing Nicky Ajose in the line up, although pleasing to see him back.
The best part for me….and Lou Macari mentioned it in commentary, was how poor is Joe Cole, from being “the new best thing” and many United fans craved his signing last Summer.Be carefull what you wish for the saying goes.lol

Off Topic, I see more “bad off field news ” if it is true regarding the wonderful football player Ravel Morrison, he had a quiet game last evening,I just hope this is not true, or we might just be witnessing the dieing embers of a talent that was going to offer so much, but never truly ingited his full potential.

Ravel Morrison. You mean the hold up artist? Typical Manc class!

What are you’tooting’about? You know dear, there is a aspect in UK law called ‘libel’ its when you write something down with no proof to the story. Daily Fail, MEN,Guardian.I somehow dont believe those 3 journals would subject themselves to a ‘courtroom’ A bit like what you have written on a United forum.”typical Manc class”
      Slander is the spoken word.
If however you think you are goading me….Fail!
