With Manchester City finally ending their 35 year wait for a trophy, specualtion has been rife as to what banner will be chosen to replace the famous ‘ticker’ one at Old Trafford.
Leaked pictures on the interweb suggest that this image could be one of the new banner- although according to some suggestions the ‘TBC’ could be removed to reveal ’43’ to acknowledge City’s wait for a league title.
Whether it’s true or not remains to be seen, and on Sunday all will be revealed but many Reds on the social networks seem to be angered at the idea of having any banner that’s a reference to our less successful neighbours. The 35 years is over, it was great while it lasted, let’s move on.
I agree with you and personally think it would be a bit smalltime of us to keep it going.
