David Beckham Green and Gold

Still a popular figure among many United fans

Former United star and all round ‘nicest man in football’ Sir David Beckham has been involved in a car crash in LA according to reports.

Before we all start panicking and booking the next flight into LAX to hold a candlit vigil, the LA Galaxy star is reported to be unharmed.

The Guardian notes:

“David Beckham has been involved in a car accident on one of the busiest roads in Los Angeles.

“The LA Galaxy star was not injured in the crash on the southbound 405 Freeway, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said. The driver of the other car was taken to hospital but was not seriously injured.

“Beckham’s black Cadillac crashed into the back of a gold Mitsubishi which had broken down in the carpool lane.

“Yesterday at approximately 9.13am he [Beckham] was involved with a collision on the southbound 405 Freeway just south of Artesia Boulevard,” said the spokeswoman.

“This collision occurred when his black Cadillac collided with the rear of a disabled gold Mitsubishi which was stalled in the carpool lane due to mechanical problems. The driver of the vehicle had a complaint of pain and was taken to hospital. David Beckham was not cited or arrested.”

We can all breathe a huge sigh of relief- after all who’s going to head England’s next World cup bid if Beckham’s not around?

How the hell does he have a nice black Cadillac and all I have is a 1991 Ford Fiesta, life is just not fair.
Glad to hear both he and his son Brooklyn got out safely ‘shaken’ but not stirred.
I see an ‘insurance’ claim in the offing.Jaysus I wish some bugger would smash up my old banger for the insurance moolah.Knowing my luck probably have zero insurance.

So Becks is legally responsible for putting the other guy in hospital?

Imagine if Rooney was at the wheel – oh what the headlines would have been…!

And how the funk do you smash in to a parked car? Must have been drunk – he’s got a drink problem that Beckham!!! 😛

Steve you should be carefull with these drink allegations….rumours like that get legs and run! lol.
I was busy when I wrote that earlier doing a little article on the Champions league, pricing policy and the distribution of tickets.Jealousy over took me in my snide comments regards Beckham.
You can imagine him sitting at Wembley though, depriving some “die hard” United fan who has travelled home and away to the Champions league games, for another ‘suit’ to take up a ticket.I just find it a scandal the way EUFA, are handling these events. Not a slight on Beckham particularly.
Here here regards Rooney, but he will never be polishing his C.B.E While driving his motor.
