As Sir Alex Ferguson all but delivered the 12th Premier League title on his watch he took time to show his appreciation to the fans for all their efforts.
While the gesture was rightly cheered by all those in attendance it’s really the fans who should be bowing down to a man who’s acheived the unthinkable by knocking Liverpool well and truly off their perch.

as i have just posted on another site, i have been a liverpool supporter since 1970 and therefore witnessed the glory years and i firmly believe i will witness them again! however, i cannot sing the praises of Lfc’s amazing record and ignore the team who will now surely surpass it! so although it pains me to say it, fair play to you united, congratulations on knocking us off our (domestic) perch and giving us the incentive to now chase your well-deserved record! here’s to another 20 years of rivalry, hopefully WITHOUT the sad songs and chants (from BOTH minorities!)

I agree we should truly acknowledge greatness and the person who is in our midst and repeatedly provides for us fans.
As I wrote earlier on this fantastic United forum, he is my hero.Being a younger United supporter he just encompasses to me what it means to be a small part of our fantastic club.I for one cherish his wind ups, his mind games his stature in the game. When ever I watch him on, as an example M.U.T.V, he totally captivates the room say in Carrington during the pre match press conference, and myself.I like his temper as well, it makes me cower a little and I am not even their, but I also believe he has a skill as we have seen in knowing how to motivate certain players in a particular way.Wether that be the arm round the shoulder or a swift kick up the backside.I also trust he builds a mental toughness into all the United players to face the struggles they are having to deal with at such a huge football club.He to me is United of the present day and hopefully for a long long time in the future. My dream for our Boss and the players is to get a hold of ‘big ears’ at Wembley. To reduce the 5 European cups to Liverpool to 4 for United. One can dream though, its free and possible. You just have to believe.

It is really a master class for a manager with so much achievement in the football world to bow to his team supporters. Sir Alex is really humble.

    • RedScot says:

Its true, he did bow…thats United not arrogant simply better. He builds the team with this belief.
