Tiago Dias Manuel Correia, more popularly known as Bebe has been signed by Turkish side Besiktas on a season long loan.
At the start of last season the 21 year old Portuguese forward cost Manchester United 9 million euros after he transferred from Portuguese side Vitoria Guimares signing a five-year contract. A year into this contract Bebe has now been sent out on loan to gain some experience.
During his time so far at Manchester United, Bebe has made 7 appearances in total, 3 of which were starts scoring 2 senior goals, including 1 in the champions league against the 2010 Turkish champions Bursaspor.
There are currently 4 other Portuguese speaking players at Besiktas and so with Bebe playing alongside players of the same nationality, it will help him to bed into their first team to get the vital experience of playing professional football at a high level. The current Portuguese contingent include Ricardo Quaresma, Simao, Manuel Fernandes and Hugo Almeida, the former two of whom he will have to displace to get a regular spot in the Besiktas side.
The loan deal is thought to be with a view to buy Bebe as it is believed that Manchester United asked for 2.5 million euros for a permanent transfer.

i said at the moment he looks a waste just look at his games against west ham wolves and crawley town. those games where his chance to prove himself, but he failed miserably. but i did say i hope that i am wrong and that bébé does become a good player
im turkish myself and support besiktas, but as i was born in london unfortunately for man utd fans im also a gooner lol, but from a besiktas fans point of view i think this is a good move for both clubs, im pretty sure none of you lot watch our league, but it really is tough and physical, and besiktas want 2 build a younger squad and we are in need of a winger/striker which is d position bebe plays in, i think bebe is a good player, his got potential but his slightly unproven, i think if he can play well for besiktas im sure when he comes back 2 old trafford he can push for a regular place in d starting 11, the only problem with bebe coming 2 besiktas is, in the turkish league theres a rule where teams can only have maximum 10 registered foreign players, and besiktas at the moment got 13 or more also, out of the 10 players only 6 can start in the starting 11 and 2 on the bench the other 2 cant play, now as for d foreigners we are getting rid of d ones we dont need, 1 has already left and another 3-4 are on there way out as well, but i am confident bebe will start because we havent really got much strikers , but bebe will definitely get a lot of games under his belt while on loan, our manager will obviously have to rotate the foreign players weekly 2 give them playing time, but its up 2 bebe 2 prove himself a regular when its his time 2 play.
