“It’s fun to stay at the Y-M-C….”

David De Gea has received the backing of Patrice Evra who was quick to remind Sky Sports of his own troubled debut for the Reds.

Evra noted:

My first game was against Manchester City and after the first 45 minutes the boss said Pat just sit and watch English football

When you play for Manchester United you have to accept the criticism but I am confident, everyone is behind him, he is a very talented player and I know he [s] gonna make it.

But we have just to help him and focus. I have to give him advice but that’s life, sometimes you have difficult moments but sometime after you’re gonna have a good moment.

Maybe some of the pundits already labelling the 20 year-old a ‘flop’ would do well to remember Evra’s debut and subsequent glorious United career.

That’s one of the most confusing posts I’ve ever read.

I hope he’ll come good eventually, this net month will be the perfect test of his mental attributes.

Big difference between a keeper and a defender though. Evra still makes a good amount of mistakes. Luckily for him, they don’t lead to goals. A keeper’s mistakes almost always do.

Laz you too would do well to learn some English, I can’t make out a word you are saying

I was at Potty Paddy’s first game..he was bullied.. hassled and lost! Goalies take longer to settle..but DDG needs backing..for confidence is everything. Its going to be a big test for him but in all United’s supporters interests that he succeeds. Paddy succeeded once he learned to fight back.. not be bullied and get stuck in! Hey Ya.. Hey ya! (OutKast)..

I expect young De Gea to make more mistakes throughout the next couple of years, & some may actually cost us dear. If United still stick with him & he remains mentally strong & committed to making it, then he stands a chance. But we need him to learn the language & build up his physique fast.
