Rafael and Tevez

Tevez didn't need an interpreter for Rafael

Carlos Tevez has hogged the football news again this week. It turns out, according to Kia Joorabchian, that Tevez only refused to warm up. That will rule out a move to Russia then.

Kia Joorabchian also claims that the questions and answers were misinterpreted during the interview after the Bayern game. After 5 years in England, Tevez still claims that his family not being here, and not his lack of interest in learning the English language, is the reason he has not settled in England.

Jamie Carragher and England were mentioned together in a newspaper story for the first time since the World cup, and probably the last time. He has suddenly decided that England are cheating by having a foreign manager. It is thought he misses his bum chum, Steven Gerrard, when England are away at a tournament, so he wants to go back to the Steve McClaren days.

Talking of Steve McClaren, he resigned as manager of Nottingham Forest. The West Midlands accent was just too tough to lean. Also, he had lead Forest to a truly dreadful start in The Championship and they are only just out of the relegation zone.

Real Madrid to Doncaster Rovers. It sounds like the worse Holiday Showdown ever. But it seems that Mahamadou Diarra could be close to joining Doncaster Rovers on a free transfer. The one time Manchester United target has really moved up in the world, going from playing with Ronaldo, to playing with Billy Sharp.

There is still a lot of fuss about a footballer eating a doughnut this week. One goalkeeper who could have done with a doughnut or two is Adam Bogdan. The sticky fingers could have come in handy during his shocker against Chelsea.

Strictly Come Dancing starts for real this week and Robbie Savage is training hard. Getting a footballer to stay on his feet has been tough, but Robbie Savage, and his dance partner Anton Du Beke, are said to be doing well.

And Finally. The twitter rumour mill told us on Tuesday night that Tom Bender had broken his neck. After a nasty collision between his own goal keeper and the opposing striker, Bender was treated on the pitch for 25 minutes before being rushed to hospital. He was discharged from hospital on Wednesday and is now fine.. Its not the first time a Bender has been caught in a dodgy head incident.
