Mario Balotelli

Because you're a knob is the obvious answer

Normally hen journalists write inflammatory, troll like stories such as the recent helping from Mark Ogden regarding the likeness of Mario Balotelli to Eric Cantona, I treat them with the unread disdain that they are worth. It is simply a story on a slow news day that is guaranteed to stir up debate and get people talking about it.

Mr Ogden writes about the similarity between the two for their lack of adherence to authority, I’m sorry but how you compare Cantona and his disregard for football related authority to Balotelli and his I’ll park where I want even though it’s against the law attitude is bewildering. On the pitch Cantona was a pure genius, consistently brilliant and forever likely to pull out a piece of ‘compétence magnifique’ Balotelli is as likely to stamp on someone’s eye ball as he is to pull out a moment of brilliance. He reminds me very much of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a f*cking waster.

What worries me most about the whole situation is that some united fans have even taken to agreeing with this without even the excuse of youthful naivety to blame. Cantona comes from a time in football where it felt pure, like there was (a very small) connection to the players, not in the yellow and highly dangerous world of mercenary custard we find ourselves in today.

Balotelli is the epitome of everything I hate about modern day footballers and football as a whole, loyalty has disappeared and is something that only miserable old people like myself long for. He is an accident waiting to happen, whether that be on the pitch and someone gets hurt or if he burns himself to death in some gerbil and firework related mishap. Footballers are, whether they like it or not role models and unfortunately for the people growing up with this as their footballing ideal it isn’t Bryan Robson they will be looking at for example it is c*nts like Balotelli.

I guess the only positive to take from it is that he is already talking about a move away. It can’t come soon enough.

Why always you? Because you’re a f*cking idiot.

Funnily enough, everyone but your filthy lot regards Cantona as a pure scumbag too.

TBH, I’m completely appalled that the media would even dare to compare Balotelli to a piece of pure shit like Cantona.

Balotelli is young and will sort his head out eventually – Cantona will always be a psychopathic dirtbag.

Your content is good, but I feel im reading some english text book. And Balotelli being a Bi**h is an accepted fact… You need not prove it.Its not new jonny.Write something Intersting and mysterious…. Like why does Sergio Ramos never get injured ??? FIY, Zidane got a red card in 98 vs Saudi Arabia for stamping someones foot…8 yrs later he head butts on the Worlds biggest stage. And for god sake….Cantona ????.?..?.?.?.? fans are supposed to be treated like family…not kicked in the butt as done by him a few years ago.I wonder where did all the Joga Bonito lie then….Both of them are treated like Justin Bieber nowadays. The underlying fact is that though Italian, Balotelli is Black…..and so is the adopted culture of he custard we find ourselves today.

Only a deluded rag could put a man who kung fu kicked a fan on a higher podium. Balotelli is already a better footballer than Cuntona was, Cuntona would never last in today’s game, too lethargic and plodding.

  6. John Tring says:

Absolutely right. He’s the same as Cantona minus the talent and genius…of course.

I’ve been saying for a year that he’s like Cantona. He is like Cantona but a poor mans Cantona, a homeless mans even. We loved Cantona because he was on our side. If he played for city those antics would have infuriated him. but because he played for us & did things against teams like liverpool he is a God.

    Dont make me laugh,

for a start Cantona wouldn’t have such a stupid haircut.

As for the bluenoses on here, whats the matter doesnt your “MASSIVE CLUB” have a running forum for you to discuss your great team and achievements in the past 35 years?. i mean F.A. Cup winners and Division 2 Champions have a certain ring to it.

Cantona changed English football. He was a master on the pitch. Nobody can deny the huge effect he had on Manchester United and the Premier League. Yes, he had temperament problems just like Balotelli, however Cantona’s were occasional flashes whereas Balotelli is doing something every week to get himself in trouble.

Yesterday his agent came out whining like a little baby saying if Mario keeps getting picked on by refs he will look to move to a different country. Well stop fucking stamping on people and kicking people in the face and you might have a chance of succeeding over here! Cantona learned the hard way and came back a much better player for it, and some sympathy can be extended to the Frenchman as the fan he kicked was subsequently charged for racially abusing him and banned from the ground. Yes it was wrong, but he learned from it and never did anything like that ever again.

Balotelli is not in the same class as Cantona. He is young, naive, and at time brainless, while at the same time possessing skills far beyond his years. It’s just a shame that he doesn’t seem to learn from the mistakes he keeps making.

So yes he may be a bit like Cantona in that he has the skills and gets in trouble, but the difference is Cantona learned from his mistakes and came out as one of the best players of his generation. Balotelli has not learned a damn thing!
