Troubled, gifted, mercurial, idiot, genius, the amount of adjectives used to describe the ‘skilful’ Ravel Morrison could fill several books, such is the talent, yet seemingly destructive temperament of the youngster.

According to reports United have now had enough of waiting to see whether the Wythenshawe born lad will ‘sort his head out’ and have finally decided to get rid of him.

The Telegraph notes:

Newcastle United have had an initial bid for Ravel Morrison rejected after Manchester United reluctantly put their hugely talented 18 year-old up for sale.

Morrison’s contract expires in the summer and, having lost patience with his repeated truancy from training, Manchester United are looking to secure a sale during this transfer window.

Newcastle have made the first bid – in the region of £500,000 – which United turned down last weekend.
United are seeking a higher fee as well as a clause that would give them a significant percentage of any future sale.
As Morrison is still only 18, if he moved within England in the summer his transfer fee would be set by a tribunal, an unpredictable situation which United want to avoid.

While there had been a preliminary discussion about a new contract for Morrison at Old Trafford earlier this season, the player has not yet received an official offer in writing and his representatives were given permission to look for a new club this month.

Although it’s always difficult to know whether to trust any publication in this country, the Telegraph is sully one of the more reliable papers.

Rumours that Morrison is set to leave haven’t been helped by the fact the club’s own website republished stories of his reported imminent departure in its ‘what the papers say’ section.

Morrison himself tweeted: “No contract offer to talk about” in response to stories that he’d rejected United’s contract offer.

There was further conjecture surrounding Morrison’s future when Rio Ferdinand tweeted: Certain kids need their heads banging, they don’t see what they got within reach, if only they FOCUSED 100%. Fix up, Make It Count.
which many people believed to be aimed at the United youngster.

As per usual with United transfer stories nothing is guaranteed and until we hear from Sir Alex Ferguson that Morrison is definitely on his way, its hard to take anything as gospel.

There certainly seems to be the feeling amongst most Reds that time may have finally run out for such a ‘prodigious’ talent, although I like many United fans who’ve seen his talents, will be hoping, almost against hope that he’s given one last chance.

why give another chance? He should realise that he is at one of the niggest clubs in the world, and has to work hard to get in. Having raw talent is not good enough. You have got to work hard.

It is upsetting to hear the club has given up. It would be better to wait till the summer even it means getting less money for him. What is the rush? Certainly hope this news is just another rubbish.

The boy is a complete fool that believes his own hype and the forked tongue of his agent.
He is now on the cusp of breaking into the first team yet greed gets in the way of any sense.

Let this wannabe ‘gangsta’ go he will only regret when he is older and hopefully a bit wiser. Prick.

Let him go already…he’s 18 and hardly gets a look in, if he was that amazing he would be pushing to be in the squad a bit more often like many other younger players that have come through the ranks at Old Trafford…
Part of being a great footballer is having the mental capacity…its not all about physical talent…he clearly doesn’t have the mental capacity…
So sick and tired of hearing about these young players than ‘might’ come through for United and that being the reason we are not signing players as it might hamper their progress…
If they not good enough to get into the current United squad good luck and goodbye…bring in the quality players that United fans deserve to see and that deserve to wear the jersey…
