De Gea – Made a good save or two but will be disappointed he couldn’t keep a clean sheet. Did well overall. 7

Jones – Made some very well executed clearances and showed a lot of promise to his defensive side. 7

Vidic – Yet another brilliant performance from the club captain who was kind enough to pass on the trophy to Sir Alex to lift. 8

Ferdiand – Bombed up and down all game to try and get a goal, and he did! A really good one too. Great to see him get on the scoresheet. ‘They got merked!’ 8

Evra – Stretched the play and tried whipping in a good ball or two. Quiet otherwise. 6

Welbeck – Full of energy but lacking with the final product. Win the freekick for our first. A compliment to his heart when getting stuck in. 6

Scholes – Played some typical ‘Scholesy’ passes and reminded us what we’re going to miss once he’s gone. A fine send off. Thanks for everything, Paul. Thank you. 8 (MOTM)

Carrick – Sat back and played a protective role as his team mates, and Rio in particular, ran forward to try and get themselves a winning goal. 7

Kagawa – Lovely seeing him in the role behind the striker where he was able to pass the ball around and make some lovely passing interchanges. Looking forward to seeing more of him in this position next season. 7

Hernandez- Scored yet another goal. You’ve got to wonder how he hasn’t featured more this season with such a wonderful record. Took his goal brilliantly. 8

Van Persie – Pulled the strings from deeper than usual and did a good job at that. Unlucky not to get on the scoresheet with a good save. 7

Subs:

Anderson – Enjoyed the event and nearly scored. Looked really good today. 8

Valencia – I may be wrong but I could have sworn I saw him smile today. 6

Giggs – How fitting that Ryan will be Sir Alex’s final ever substitution at Old Trafford. What a legend. 11
