“And now, the end is here, And so I face the final curtain, My friend, I’ll say it clear, I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain, I’ve lived a life that’s full…”

The day all have dreaded has finally arrived as Sir Alex Ferguson takes charge for his final game as manager with a trip to the Hawthorns.

The game itself couldn’t be much more meaningless in terms of the Premier League, with the title already wrapped up and unable to gain seventh.

Sir Alex has already said he’ll give some of the younger defenders a chance for the end of season/career/era finale so expect to see Phil and Jonny line up in defence. A certain Scouse gentleman is also expected not to figure so it won’t be a surprise to see as a lone striker.

Here’s how I see United lining up:

Lindegaard, Tony , Jones, Evans, Evra, Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Ryan , Danny Welbeck, Shinji , RVP.
