It seems an eternity ago that Nemanja Vidic was being linked with a move abroad, mainly due to stories circulating that Mrs Vidic was unhappy with her lot in sunny Manchester. Since those scary days Vidic has gone from United’s main central defender to one who’s become injury plagued after two seasons spent more on the treatment table than in the starting line up.

According to reports, AC Milan have been monitoring Vidic and feel they could tempt the Reds with a bid for the skipper. The Express notes:

The 31-year-old made less than 20 league appearances last season, following on from an even more absent campaign in 2011/12.

According to reports on the continent, AC Milan are weighing up a bid for Vidic in order to playhim alongside French defender Phillipe Mexes

While a formal offer is yet to be submitted, Vidic – who is currently holidaying in Ibiza – could switch Manchester for Milan this summer.

Normally any rumour involving United selling Vidic would be treated with scorn but their could be a small measure of truth to the prospect of the defender leaving this Summer as he heads towards the twilight of his career. With the likes of Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans waiting in the wings, David Moyes may be tempted to part with the ageing defender if the money was right, although you’d be hard pressed to find a United fan who agrees with the idea of selling the man from Serbia.

Vidic is now 31 , so i believ united should find a quality replacement for him before is too late.

Although an exceptional player, he is missing a lot of games and United are winning games without him so I would say let him go and get someone younger in his place.
