The longest saga in football rumbles on…
United could face losing Wayne Rooney for a knockdown price next Summer after reports have emerged that the striker’s representatives haven’t met with those from the club about the prospect of a new deal. There’s also a worry that Sir Alex Ferguson’s book will once again open old wounds between Rooney and United by reiterating the striker’s alleged desire to leave last season- not to mention reliving the time he definitely did want to leave in 2010.
With Chelsea unlikely to have lost interest in the Summer as Rooney’s stock continues to rise this season, it would come as no great surprise if the England man finally did leave Old Trafford after a decade. The Mail reports that Rooney’s exit could come at a cut-price as with only a year left on his contract he’ll be available for free the following Summer, something that almost certainly wont be allowed to happen.
Are you people tired of praising David Moyes and his mediocre performance? Since United refused to buy world class players that can assist in bringing the best out of Rooney and Persie but would rather rely on mediocre players such as Carrick, he should be allowed to leave.

Been up for 21yrs watching my United. This is totally abysmal. Let’s have a retrospective comparison. David Gill + Fergie + Quiroz + Malueesten + Eric Steel = Marquee signings, attractive and several trophies. Then Woodward + Moyes + Steve Round + Phil Nevile=??? What can these names (later) offer to a club like Manchester United? If a new engine fails, it should be returned to the manufacturer at once. David Moyes and his back room staff are a bunch of fiascos. There is no fear, no commitment and no winning mentality in the team again. DAVID MOYES must be sacked @ once. It’s really shambolic to watch United struggle @ Oldtraford against teams like Wesbrom & Southampton. What the hell is happening? Ferguson was able to win the league with same crop of players. What is David Moyes doing? It’s equally a total failure on Ferguson not to appoint a suitable successor to continue steering the ship. This is just a premonition of worst things to come. Let’s watch and see how teams like: Arsenal, Westham & Totenham will give us the beating of our lives!! DAVID MOYES MUST be sacked!! Retire Giggs & Rio then release: Anderson, Nanni & Ashely young. Barcelona has been able to source their manager from their coaches. One would have expected for Ferguson to do so. Probably do an Olegunnar Solksjaer and retain Maleesuten with other back room staff. With that, there will be continuity and not to bring on “Mr Bean, Charlie Chaplin & Mr Spencer” (Woodward, Moyes & Round) who knows nothing about being a part of the Legendary team. A Guus Hiddink, Solksjaer & Garry Neville can do us this magic in the interim while Hiddink steps down for Soljksjaer & Garry by next season. We need to save our loving Manchester United team.
