Will the youngster start today? The international break is over- thank God!- so we can now forget about the frivolous games deciding whether our national side will get a holiday this Summer and focus on the important business of Manchester United football club. Southampton are the visitors later today in something of a role reversal as we’re the current mid-table team and Mauricio Pachettino’s side are the high flyers, currently occupying fourth spot having conceded less goals all season than we did at the Etihad.

David Moyes faces something of a dilemma as Robin Van Persie has just banged in a hat-trick for Holland, the out of favour Wilfried Zaha was impressive for the England under 21 side, Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney played a huge part in dragging the senior team to Brazil and Nani was on song for Portugal. In other words there’s a lot of players who arguably deserve a start- oh and somewhere in there has to be a young Belgian- or is it Albanian- lad who’s the talk of the footballing universe.

United cannot afford to take any chances against Southampton, so expect a strong side to represent the champions. Here’s my predicted starting XI:

David De Gea, Rafael, Jonny Evans, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Danny Welbeck, Adnan Januzaj, Wayne Rooney, RVP.

Do you agree that will be United’s line up or have I got it completely wrong? Feel free to comment, suggest and abuse below and even give us your own starting eleven if you feel up to the job:

I would expect Vida to be in there seen as he’s had 2 weeks without a game.
Hope Evans starts as I can afford to bring him into my dream team for next week, and I have confidence in him next to our captain!
