Has the striker flattered to decieve so far this season?

Manchester United’s press conference ahead of the FA Cup clash with Cambridge is set to take place tomorrow, with the manager almost certain to face questions on Radamel Falcao.

The Colombian striker has come in for criticism since his loan move in the Summer, with many questioning his fitness and whether United should meet the alleged £43 million price tag to make the deal permanent.

Falcao suffered more stick last weekend at Loftus Road after failing to beat Robert Green and there’s little doubt the pressure is on the striker to try and justify why Van Gaal should invest such a large sum in making the deal permanent.

The United boss is usually tight lipped about player’s futures, often refusing to be drawn on them or simply speaking in riddles that are more or less meaningless. Should Falcao start and score against Cambridge it’s doubtful it’ll make much of a difference to his long term United future, but it will be interesting to see whether the press can get the manager to comment on his plans for the former Monaco man.

The manager’s press conference is on MUTV from 1pm tomorrow.
