Big money signings are almost becoming boring at United now, it seems that every transfer window outdoes the next one as the club breaks the bank to reclaim the Premier League title.
Ever since Juan Mata helicoptered in under the hapless David Moyes, Reds have been treated to some of the biggest deals in Europe. Louis Van Gaal underlined his determination to compete last season with the acquisition of the likes of Radamel Falcao, Angel Di Maria, Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw et al, while this Summer we’ve witnessed five players join the club in a two week frenzy.
LVG isn’t finished at the likes of Matteo Darmian and a few midfielders, he wants more as the latest reports indicate the United boss is poised to make three more signings this week.
The Sun [pictured] note that Van Gaal is moving for Barcelona’s Pedro and Lazio’s Lucas Biglia while other papers have the Reds also making a bid for Jasper Cillessen as a replacement for the soon to be departed David De Gea.
The combined fee for all three is in the region of £62 million and come be completed this week.
